Volcafe has an opportunity for a high caliber Treasury Manager to join a world leading coffee trader. This position offers a broad spectrum of opportunity, entrepreneurship, scope, commercial activity, and authority. Volcafe’s treasury department drive global change while protecting value.

The successful candidate will cover the position of Treasury Manager, based in Amsterdam, and be responsible for strategic and operational treasury activities globally.

We are seeking a candidate who will be able to translate strategic goals into concrete processes that would help push the treasury department into the next level.

The successful individual will have a solid understanding of the mechanics of global treasury management and ability to construct seamless treasury processes at entity and holding levels. Bank relationship management and maintenance is an important task for the function. Candidate should be able to model corporate finance (+ESG) and trade finance structures and translate model outputs into concrete financial products to be implemented.

Volcafe has built and operated certified, sustainable supply chains across all our origins, addressing key economic, social and environmental issues in coffee farming communities. Since 2014 Volcafe has been providing direct technical assistance to farmers, helping them to improve their coffee quality, farm productivity and yields via our Volcafe Way Farmer Support Organizations (FSOs).

Responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:

  • Help develop corporate finance and capital allocation models to support decision making with respect to central and local financing
  • Support and be responsible for bank relationship management, maintenance and initiation
  • Be responsible for liquidity risk reporting and cash flow forecasting
  • Execute hedging requests and be responsible for administration, valuation and reporting of the derivatives portfolios
  • Initiate, hold responsibility (budget) and actively manage global treasury initiatives with respect to global TMS, operational cash management, cash flow forecasting and others
  • Be responsible for day-to-day treasury operations
  • Manage a team based in Bangalore

Skills and Expertise

  • A minimum of six years Treasury experience, ideally gained within the Big 4
  • Strong team player with advanced soft skills; communication, people & project management experience
  • Self-motivated individual with an entrepreneur attitude
  • Ability to identify and respond to rapidly changing financial conditions and exposures
  • Ability to interpret management requirements and act on them under own initiative
  • Strong excel modelling skills
