ED&F Man Liquid Products Division is the leading global supplier in molasses, molasses blends and related liquid products as well as dry products for (mainly) the animal feed industry. The Amsterdam office is the regional headquarters for the business covering Europe, Asia, and Africa. We are a pioneer as well as a trader in liquid agricultural by-and- co-products. We offer expertise in animal nutrition and feed dispense technology to farmers. We work closely with manufacturers, such as rum and yeast producers, to provide quality products from sustainable sources. Our capability includes sourcing, shipping, storage and distribution of molasses, molasses blends and other sugar co-products, as well as vegetable and fish oils. Using the sourcing skill of our trading division and the blending and inventory management know-how of our storage operations, we tailor make sophisticated blends to match our customers’ needs.

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as a Trade Execution Specialist for containers to work in a truly global environment to ensure a flawless, efficient and effective transportation of ED&F Man’s products (both dry & liquid). The role provides long term potential for someone eager to launch their career within the challenging and fast‐paced soft commodities industry.

The Trade Execution Specialist is the primary contact for our clients, suppliers and freight forwarders who are related to the container transport of our products and its onward transportation in trucks to the end-user. They will be involved in all tasks related to container operations with a focus on organic certified products (but not limited to). As such they will have a key role cooperating with various departments such as the trading, quality, and finance.
• Contact with customers, suppliers, and service providers (forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers etc.)
• Follow vessel and container movements globally and maintain schedules
• Inventory control and re-supply of stock in coordination with our clients and terminals
• Organizing documentation related to various trades globally in accordance with Incoterms
• Processing of orders from customers, complaint management and invoicing

Required Skills and Experience:
• Minimum vocational education degree (MBO+), preferably in Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management, OR qualified by experience
• Preferably hands-on experience in a logistics role handling liquid and/or dry container transports and truck deliveries and executing these processes
• Fluent business English and Dutch is required (a third language is advantageous)
• Flexible and adaptable; you must be eager to experience different working environments and able to adjust quickly as well as keen to take on new challenges
• Must be very organized and able to work within tight deadlines with minimum supervision
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively build strong working relationships with others and provide them with your support and/or leadership
• Determined, resilient and eager to succeed
