We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as an experienced and high calibre Financial Reporting Accountant to work in a truly global environment to work within a busy accounting team, working with individuals within the corporate control team, treasury, divisional reporting, trade accounting and other stakeholders in the ED&F Man group. The roles involves working in a fast-paced environment with many different stakeholders located in multiple geographic locations.

Financial Reporting
Financial reporting assistance for both London entity and other local entities where required – with main responsibilities being:
• London stock and prepayments reporting
• IFRS 9 – ECL tool monthly and year end reporting
• Controls improvement
• Year end audit assistance

Trade Finance – with India team support
Support the Sugar BU Treasury team with trade finance initiatives
• Follow-up of documentation and discussions
• Discounting Programmes – Receivables/Avalised drafts
• New structured finance (inventory, end to end flows, pre-finance)
• Identification of upcoming vessels for financing
• Identification of other trade financing opportunities (e.g BU balance sheet review)
• Credit Insurance (Coface, Credendo + one – off)

IT development – Automation & Innovation
Project manage new IT development for Sugar Finance; working closely with the ITAS development team on detailed requirements, testing, implementation and roll out.

Required Skills and Experience:
• Qualified accountant with 1 – 4 years PQE
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong team player
• Strong control mindset
• Initiative to suggest changes and improvements with a self-starting attitude
• Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
