We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our specialty coffee team as a Financial Controller to work in a truly global environment to support the US specialty coffee division by taking responsibility for all financial operations ensuring accurate financial reporting while providing strategic guidance to support business growth.

Key Accountabilities
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Develop and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management for decision-making purposes.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP) and other relevant regulations.
- Manage cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
- Conduct financial risk management and implement mitigation strategies.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives and operational efficiency.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CMA certification would be advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a proven track record in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bilingual fluency with Spanish is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in the commodity or agricultural sector is preferred but not required.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Strategic thinking and ability to drive financial performance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly excel.
