Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as a Specialty Sales Manager for the UK and Ireland to join a small and passionate team delivering over 2000mt of coffee into the UK and Ireland from our Bristol head office and serve over 100 clients of all shapes and sizes. This newly created role will be instrumental in shaping the way our business, continues to develop to ensure that we are maximising all opportunities from across the global supply chain to bring value to our clients. You will lead in the creation and execution of an effective strategy for growing and enhancing both our commercial and speciality business to the UK and Irish green coffee markets.

Our Volcafe Way farmer support programme engages with thousands of coffee farmers and provides a holistic response to the challenges they face.
Key Accountabilities
- The right candidate will be 100% client focussed ensuring we capture all demand and effectively execute on our ambitious growth plans to maintain our proven track record of YOY growth and become the partner of choice for coffee roasters.
- Manage all commercial activity across selected existing portfolio clients to meet growth targets.
- Execute an effective lead-generation strategy and develop own client portfolio across specialty and commercial trade.
- Manage purchasing decisions and risk to fulfil client demand from all coffee origins using internal and external supply-chain partners.
- Manage supply chain stakeholder relations to ensure effective and cost-efficient contract executions.
- Contribute to sourcing and purchasing decisions for the creating of an enhanced spot position.
- Represent company at trade events and contribute to trade media as required.
- Work with general manager to develop and execute an effective marketing strategy to help elevate the Volcafe brand presence in both UK, Ireland and beyond.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in the green coffee industry, ideally within green coffee sales or trading environment.
- Proficient cupper – Q-grader qualification desirable.
- Entrepreneurial thinker with a growth-mindset and a proven track record for delivering results.
- Client-focussed with an interest and demonstrable knowledge of the UK coffee market.
- High level numeracy and literacy skills.
- UK-driving license and passport – ability to travel overseas.
- Fluency in written and verbal English – (2nd language of Spanish/Portuguese/German is desirable).
